The Asia Pacific director of  US investment bank Hogawny and Flinch was killed when his car crashed along Pasir Panjang road at 5pm yesterday.

Eyewitnesses told police that Mr John Frazier, 47, had been speeding and lost control of his Mercedes at the intersection of South Buona Vista Road and Pasir Panjang.  It was raining at the time of the accident.

The impact crushed the front of his car, throwing the American– who was not wearing a seatbelt - through the car’s windshield.  He died instantly.

Two pedestrians and a dog were also injured in the accident.

Said police spokesperson, Herman Wong: “This is the fourth such accident to happen on this stretch of road in the past eight months. This, however, is the first fatality in the area since 1997.”

Mr Frazier leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
